Making our relationships work.
In order to make the transition from home to nursery an enjoyable experience our communication with you is paramount. We respect the role parents play as principal carers and close working relationships can ensure we consistently meet your family’s needs.
Open, two-way communication is crucial so we always make time to talk at the beginning and end of each day. We will also share through photos, video and observations and your child’s private Parentzone account straight to your phone . This is a great keepsake of your child’s developmental journey.
Our transition evenings are a chance for you to meet other parents and find out about room moves as your child develops. There is time to chat and catch up with the team and your key person. We also post weekly updates to our parent only Facebook page.
We believe children feel more confident about themselves and their learning when nursery staff, parents and carers work together in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Inclusion for All
Our policy is to include all children wherever possible. As long as we are both agreed that we can meet your family’s needs, we will be happy to discuss arrangements needed to give the best care to your child.
Settling into Nursery Life
Our staffs will support your child’s first few days in the nursery with great sensitivity. At your free settling in visits, staffs will talk through and accommodate your family’s routines and update with you as your child grows and develops. You are welcome to ring or visit as often as you like, especially in the initial stages.
What parents say.
‘Staffs offer a genuine warmth and tenderness.’
What Ofsted says.
‘Systems recording development are of exceptional use as working documents for practitioners and parents.’
Once settled we invite you to our unique parent induction which answers any questions about nursery life and celebrates your child’s first few weeks at nursery.
We understand that a smooth transition from room to room and from nursery to school is vital for the whole family. At these stages we invite parents to our popular Transition Evenings. Here you can meet other parents whose children are moving onwards and upwards; meet your new key staffs and find out what changes you might expect in the next stage. We also complete the more formal Two Year Check for you to take along to your Health Visitor in line with guidance from Surrey Early Years.
